Tyrone Walker, best known by the stage name A$AP TyY, is an American rapper from Harlem, NYC. A key member of the notorious A$AP Mob, home to rap titan A$AP Rocky, Walker has made a name for himself as one of the most talented lyricists to come out of the group. He exploded on to the US hip-hop scene in 2015 with two incendiary singles: ‘O Well’ and ‘Chamber Lock’, featuring the late great A$AP Yams. Receiving serious attention from publications like Complex and HotNewHipHop, the singles were followed by 2016’s ‘Remain The Same’, a rough-and-ready take on the classic A$AP sound that proved TyY can swing with the best of them.
TyY's singles "O Well" and "Chamber Lock" feat. A$AP Yams" in 2015, as well as "Remain the Same" in 2016, were the first to be featured on major blogs and publications. His features on hip hop websites such as Hot New HipHop, HypeBeast and Complex Magazine would serve as a precursor for TyY before releasing his debut mixtape, "BEST KEPT SECRET" in April 2016. After the release of the 19-track mixtape, TyY went on to release four more singles. His most popular song to is titled "Trump", a track aimed at the would-be President of The United States would draw ire from Trump supporters and praise from the President's detractors. In early 2017, TyY had his first headline tour, performing throughout Europe and the United Kingdom.
In addition to music, TyY has also taken part in fashion, art, and street culture. TyY popularized the Bike-Life subculture of New York City. Utilizing his platform as a rapper and rider, TyY would release his first ever art exhibit in 2014. In the Summer of 2017, TyY would launch multiple collections with a variety of brands. Most notably, during Paris Fashion Week, TyY partnered with Milan-based designer, Guntas. The line was a marquee feature of Guntas' Spring 2018 collection.
ASAP Mob released its second studio album, Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy. The album was released by ASAP Worldwide, Polo Grounds Music, and RCA Records. ASAP TyY would be featured on the 8th track, titled "Get the Bag." The track also featured ASAP Rocky, ASAP Ferg, ASAP Ant, ASAP Nast, Playboi Carti and Smooky Margielaa.
In April of 2018 TyY released his second full length mixtape tilted “Troubles of the World” laced with 18 songs, the project features guest appearances from OG Maco, Rich Relly, Perrion, Buddha Gxd, Macca Wiles, ASAP Ant, Benadon, and more. Meanwhile production is handled mostly by Zoneout Worldwide, with assistance coming from Fast Life Beats, Tyler Mora, and Lamont Sincere. TyY set out on his first major tour in South East ASIA during the End of 2018, the tour would have ASAP TyY stop in 12 cities across China and Singapore and was met with much success.
Ultimately, ASAP TyY is beginning to leave his own legacy not only from the ranks within the A$AP Mob camp, but in the fashion, art and music industries as well. #ASAPLIFESTYLE
